Livin' on Dog Food

If you are an American citizen and want to travel outside the USA, make sure to get a passport. Let the private contractors and political appointees be in charge of your files. You can trust in their professionalism and discretion. Your government would never lie to you, access your files, or manipulate the rhetorical filters of reality. The White House press secretariat is not an instrument of propaganda. Father knows best. Mama didn't raise no fool. History is bunk. Don't worry, be happy. Mission accomplished. God bless America.

Dennis Hopper, Natalie Wood, James Dean -- Rebel Without a Cause (1955). "The retards are strong." -- Mary Gaitskill. "Plato, why did you shoot those puppies?" "Wanna see a monkey?"

Richard Burton, The Spy Who Came in from the Cold (1965):

What the hell do you think spies are? Moral philosophers measuring everything they do against the word of God or Karl Marx? They're not! They're just a bunch of seedy, squalid bastards like me: little men, drunkards, queers, hen-pecked husbands, civil servants playing Cowboys and Indians to brighten their rotten little lives. Do you think they sit like monks in a cell, balancing right against wrong?

Today's Rune: Joy.

    Contractor to State Dept.:

    "Commitment-Integrity-Results"

"Stanley was founded as a small consulting firm in 1966 by Rear Admiral Emory D. Stanley. For the next 20 years, the company continued as a two-man consulting business focused on maritime studies. The company’s success, which has been built on a culture that emphasizes a commitment to strong, long-term partnerships, integrity in everything we do, and results for our customers, is exemplified by its proven track record. All major contracts have been recompeted and retained at least once, and new customers and services have been added each year." -- Website "History" section

  6. TAC was founded in 1990 and acquired by SFA, Inc., headquartered in Crofton, Md. as a wholly owned subsidiary in February 2003. One of TAC's first contracts was with the Department of State (DoS) to automate what was to become the Terrorist Watchlist. Over the last 16 years, the agencies and organizations at the forefront of our nation's security have relied on TAC for data-management systems, client support, and analytic services that have proved critical to mission success. Counterterrorism remains a critical emphasis. Today, TAC is providing counterterrorism support in most of the agencies within the Intelligence Community.
