I'm looking forward to Floria Sigismondi's The Runaways, set at this juncture for a March 19, 2010 release. All-girl rock band, 1970s, what's not to love?
Got to see Joan Jett rock Charlotte, North Carolina, in the early 80s. She was incredibly cool -- actually blew the Police off the stage, even though she opened for them. The difference between hard rock and slightly poncified elevator music, maybe.

That would have been a hell of a show but a little after I stopped going to them.

ReplyDeleteThey play a lot of Ms. Jett on Little Steven's Underground Garage-- it's given me a better appreciation of her and the Runaways. They've mentioned the movie a few times.
