According to the principles of feng shui and other sources, it's nice to have a sample of the four elements in your living space. And that's what I have -- some candles dressed and blessed by Peaches, a little bedside mist-maker, a small container of earth, and an AC unit supplemented by whirling fans. I can feel the new energies flowing already.
Marie (not her real name) suggested that I get rid of saved fortune cookies by adding their texts to the blog and then burning them. Good idea. Here are the rest of the fortunes, soon to be cast into a lit glass cylinder candle:
~~You never hesitate to tackle the most difficult problems.
~~Good news will come to you by mail.
~~You will inherit some money or a small piece of land.
~~See your ideas -- they are totally acceptable.
~~Your present plans are going to succeed.
Sounds good to me!
Coincidentally, my sister Vickie just saw Earth, Wind & Fire in concert in Pennsylvania.
Ciao!

Great post. I'd love to learn more about feng-shui.
Heart beat in the neighborhood and liked it affection. Of nothing the balance of the environment advances, if the individual will not be balanced. Or "vice versa"... I will choose the two! Homesicknesses of its things Good weekend! Beijus
I've always loved Earth, Wind & Fire! whoo hoo! Good dance music! You've got me thinkin' about stopping by to see Peaches, myself; haven't been there in years! Great smelling candles, though. --R
earth air fire water.... the four TRUE elements! hehe love the post!
Thanks, y'all, for the comments! We used to have 8-tracks of E,W & F around my parents' house. My faves included "Getaway," "Shining Star" (sisters had the 45 single), and "September."
Cheers and beijus,
Erik
