The Midnight Special

Now's the time of year teachers are so exhausted, they (we) resort to breaking out their favorite movies and cartoons. I remember a couple years ago when joint classes showed scenes from the Peanuts Classic Holiday Collection. I'm glad they did -- the latest generation needed to know that Pigpen is not just "the dirty kid" and Lucy is more than "the mean kid." Student response was creative, certainly, but in the end, they liked it just as much as we kids from back in the day.

I'm sure by the end of the year, somebody else will learn something new about the Peanuts gang. And a teacher will mutter something like wah-wah-wah-wahnh, dreaming of naptime.

Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!

Today's Rune: Movement.

I love it! Peanuts gang is the best. Snoopy going commercial, decorating his house is a hoot!
Happy Thanksgiving, Erik

Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Have you read any of the reviews of the Schulz bio? That's one I'd like to pick up.

Personally I'm looking forward to "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." The original, animated by the Bugs Bunny clan. I'm not even Christian, of course, but it holds a special place in my heart.
Happy Turkey Day!

I just looked i the refrigerator and saw that the wife is thawing a turkey, pig pen didn't think we were doing any of that this year because of the depressive state of mind I've carried for the past week but I guess it's time to let it go and see where the flow takes me.

Teachers aren't the only ones under the crunch this time of year but kudos to you all who make it through without some form of sanity disturbance.

Peace

I showed A Christmas Story the last couple of years, but am so far behind right now that we will be doing Chronicle of a Death Foretold until Santa is on his way down the chimney.
