Chewin' Up the Sunday Mirror

A lot of cool birthday people today. Fritz Lang, for instance. Metropolis (1927), M (1931), and You Only Live Once (1937) - unless you're Mr. Bond, perhaps.

In November 2004, The Daily Mirror asked the above question.

Well, one more year to go with that guy still grasping onto the bully pulpit. The circle may be complete should the Clintons return to the White House. Meanwhile, we're livin' on dog food. Arf arf. . . . .

Turkish actress Nurgül Yesilçay -- not her birthday, but worth checking out in Auf der anderen Seite / The Edge of Heaven / Yaşamın Kıyısında (2007). She sometimes sports a punkish hairdo, to boot. Better than a Kurd in the eye, certainly.

Today's Rune: The Blank Rune.

Between memory and desire, moments of happiness and bliss . . . . .

I love the "US Election Disaster" tagline at the bottom...in a sad way. I guess sometimes it's easier to see more clearly from outside of the box. No, no, that's not it. Too many people are just too darned stupid. <:\

Better than a Kurd in the eye is a great line.

Love Metropolis. I have "M" for my iPod because it's available on archive.org.

I didn't think it was possible that there was a bigger Iggy Pop fan in this world than me, but I think I may have found him...

My son was recently saying, on his blog, that he's seen the effect of 7 years of torture-- on himself, with this administration.
