Gimme Three Steps Mister

Five years and two months ago, UNC Tar Heel stood shoulder to shoulder with Duke Blue Devil, protesting Mr. Bush's then-upcoming war. It was seventeen degrees Fahrenheit, we were bundled to the nines, and a groovy older woman smiled to our left, holding a sign that read: "Attack on Iraq [Iran?] is for oil." In this snapshot, I'm in Carolina Blue and Joe McGeary's holding a Duke Blue sign -- NO WAR.

As for us, we're not taking any trips on the Titanic or the Hindenburg, we're not following General Custer anywhere, we're not getting in a car with Stephen Glass, we're not rallying for a final stand in the Führerbunker, we're not drinking the Flavorade with Jim Jones, we're not taking a bus down by the River, we're not following the Pied Piper into the Mountain, we're simply saying, NO.

Today's Rune: Movement.

Happy Spring, y'all!

Too bad the protest didn't work, but, of course, he couldn't care less what the people think or want.

If only just saying "no" had any effect. <:(

Saying no always has some effect, if not now then later -- The No people can replace the Yes people, for instance. And in 2009, just might do so.

I won't even begin with the "No means No" rape analogies.
