Three Days of the Condor

I haven't seen Three Days of the Condor (1975) since it came out. Must see again soon! Seems as relevant as ever, if memory serves. Director Sidney Pollack's recent death reminded me to add it to the list. Check out the then new World Trade Center!

I did get to see All the President's Men (1976) recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. '70s movies were cool. Given the similarities today, expect a resurgence.

Today's Rune: Disruption.

The themes may be relevant but I keep getting hung up on background objects that appear so klunky and dated that it takes me to far out of the realm of possibility...I can only suspend belief so far...

Hi Erik. The fact that Robert Redford is in it adds to the appeal...I may have to check this one out. --Robin

WM/Mark, I like seeing the old dialup phones and etc. Sets the context nicely.

Robin, glad you're back! Faye Dunaway is a nice draw, too ;->

I haven't seen either, I have to admit. I also haven't seen "The Deer Hunter" & only just watched "Apocalypse Now" last year. Gads, am I behind the times!

It shows up on cable now and then. I've always been a fan of this movie, and yeah it meshes with today's concerns well. It revolves around gas and food shortages and government corruption.

Saw it on AMC a few months ago-- it's aged well, I agree. Plus, nice seeing Faye Dunaway.
