A Night to Remember

As Walter Lord put it: a night to remember. Let us salute the crew and passengers of the RMS (Royal Mail Ship) Titanic, the 1,514 who lost their lives on this date one hundred years ago -- April 15, 1912 -- and the 710 survivors rescued by the crew of the RMS Carpathia -- a ship that was later sunk by a German U-Boat (on July 17, 1918, during the last year of the "Great War").

Today's Rune: Partnership.

Shows you the difference time makes. Sinking the behemoth Titanic a hundred years ago was the greatest disaster of the day, jurisdictions were out for blood of the White Star line and now a century later we act as if it was some kind of entertainment event (see the week end movie grosses).
