Michelangelo Antonioni: La Notte / Night (Part I)

Really digging Michelangelo Antonioni's films. Latest round (out of sequence): La Notte / The Night (1961).

Three reasons to see La Notte: Jeanne Moreau, Marcello Mastroianni and Monica Vitti.

More reasons: architecture, design, symbols and signs, documentation of time and place (Italy, 50+ years before 2013).

Extras: jokes at the expense of writers. Not really jokes, but knowing details.

Three questions to consider. What makes happiness?  What keeps happiness? Is freedom more important than stability?

Three more questions. How does an awareness of mortality play into your plans? Do you settle? Will you change anything in your life barring unforeseen circumstances, or is this it?

Today's Rune: Protection.
