Anton Chekhov: Tri Sestry / Three Sisters

Got to see an excellent performance of Anton Chekhov's 1900 play Три сeстры / Tis Sestry / Three Sisters. Loved it -- very contemporary concerns, with a dash of historical context (written just a small handful of years before Russia's humiliating defeat in the Russo-Japanese War). The psychological underpinnings remain pretty much the same in the 21st century as they were in the late 19th and early 20th -- only the practice of dueling with swords or pistols, perhaps, has faded away, and now we have nuclear bombs and such.

Today's Rune: Signals.
