I like most of David Mamet's work--especially "House of Games." As for Dick Clark, I'm not too sure he should over exert himself with the New Year's Eve festivities.

Wow, lots of these Nov. 30 folks have a very hit-and-miss career. Ridley Scott's films are a mixed bag, as are Mamet's--though I appreciate both filmmakers. Billy Idol, eh. Dick Clark, eh again. Abbie Hoffman was interesting, but not quite the revolutionary he could have been, considering the attention he garnered. As for Winston Churchill, well he's Winston Churchill, kind of a separate category as the rest. Wow, lots of birthdays on this date.
