U.F.O.
Gerry Anderson and Sylvia Anderson, the people who wrote and produced Doppelgänger / Journey to the Far Side of the Sun (1969), recycled props and equipment for a fascinating, weird independent 26-episode British TV Series, U.F.O. (ca.1970-1971). I've only seen a handful of episodes, but it's wild.
The music and opening credits set the tone -- tinges of Edie Sedgwick, Barbarella, and coming New Wave fashions stirred together with high camp, pitting a secret "defence organisation" against sporadic alien raids. It's a great premise -- a secret war between shadow forces, vast numbers of characters leading double lives, etc.: not quite the usual apocalyptic showdown but spooky nonetheless (the aliens intend to harvest earthlings for spare parts, for instance).
On U.F.O., fashion, computers and telephones rule -- including the Erica "Cobra Phone," the still futuristic looking Ericofon first developed by Swedish Ericcson in 1954.
Here's to Retro -- No Time Like the Future.

That's got to be one of the strangest phones I've seen; Looks more like a flashlight.
Groovy, baby! lol What can I say? I'm a child of the '70s... Cool phone! It's funny how the futuristic stuff is so retro!
