Let the Good Times Roll: Hillary Clinton for President in 2008

Hillary Rodham Clinton is my choice for 2008. Happy Birthday to you, Ms. President!

Why? There are a number of reasons, but here are a handful.

1. The Supreme Court. I'll agree with her choices as much as I've hated the Bush choices.

2. Environmental issues. She'll pay better attention than either Bush.

3. Science. She believes in Evolution and supports science in general.

4. Elvis Costello and Jakob Dylan (with the Wallflowers) sang at her 60th birthday party last night. How cool is that? (i.e. cool friends and supporters).

5. Hillary Clinton can and will defeat all rivals in the primaries and in the general election.

6. I'm a pragmatist, not a utopian. Secondary candidates can join the new Clinton administration in 2009. I'd prefer a libertarian socialist, but this is the USA and this is the best we can hope for.

7. The return of Bill Clinton. Together, they are older and wiser than first time around.

8. The Republican opposition is composed, with the exception of Ron Paul, of ghoulish cretins -- all of them as bad or worse than Bush and Cheney.

9. It's time for a woman president, and for many more women in leadership roles. We are ready. For God's sake, Chile has a woman president (Verónica Michelle Bachelet Jeria), and Argentina looks about to vote in Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner on Sunday. Women can win. Women have been "allowed" to vote in the USA for more than 75 years and make up over half the population. It's time for a woman president here and now.

10. It'll be great fun compared to the miserable Bush-Cheney regime. Let the good times roll!

Happy birthday also to Bollywood star and all around Indian powerhouse Raveena Shandon.

Come to Bollywood, indeed!

Today's Rune: Defense. (Yesterday's: Journey).

Ciao!

Bollywood musicals are very much entertaining. As for Michigan's primaries: What choice do I have? I've thought about becoming a Republican for a day; however, I've decided to roll with Hillary in 2008. Let's make her a bigger powerhouse than she already is and let her kick Republican ass.

I will be voting for Ms. Clinton as well. Can't do another 4 years under the extreme right. The second shrub is doing just what the first shrub did. Like father like son. Run up the deficit to historical levels and print more money. The dollar will continue to fall under those conditions.
Oil will continue to rise as well as inflation. Workers wages will be held while prices rise. Send the Republicans home. Enjoyed the post MW :)
