Philadelphia spectrum 1974, Grace Slick called Paul Kantner a nazi. He left the stage until she literally got on her knee's and begged him to finish the set. Quite a show.
Great clip. I loved the Smothers Brothers show-- I was fortunate that my parents watched it. My classmates envied me; their parents watched the Laurence Welk show, which was in the same time slot.
That first Jefferson Airplane album is amazing. "Somebody To Love" still grabs me every time I hear it. I finally bought Surrealistic Pillow on cd last year.
I can never hear White Rabbit now without thinking of the scene in Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas where Hunter Thompson's attorney is trying to get him drop the tape player in the bathtub to electrocute him as the song peaks.

I'm depressed that Jefferson Airplane became "Starship" in the 80s. *shivers w/the horror*
Wow! Grace Slick looks so damn young. Way better than that Jefferson Starship commercial crap (with the exception of "Stairway to Cleveland").
No one comes close to matching this.
Have a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year, Erik.
Great song. My favorite by them.
