To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow

Today's Sagittarius birthday roll includes Rachel Griffiths, Brenda on Six Feet Under (2001-2005) -- impeccable American accent for an Aussie. I first saw her as Rhonda Epinstalk in Muriel's Wedding (1994), which was also her first movie role.

Katie Holmes in Wonder Boys (2000) as student writer Hannah Green. She's now lost, apparently, in marriage to an ultra-rich gnome.

Danger: High Voltage -- Victoria Pratt turned 37 today and seems as fierce as ever, at least in her acting roles.

Brad Pitt in one of his best roles -- as Doppelgänger Tyler Durden in Fight Club (1999), one of the most subversive "mainstream" films I can think of.

And finally on the birthday roll, a happy one to Christina Aguilera. "GUILTY PLEASURE? NOT ANY MORE." Okay, FINE!

Meanwhile, only three more days until Christmas Break. Thank God!

Today's Runes: Disruption/Journey.

Congrats to Joe Namath for finishing his B.A. at the University of Alabama Tuscaloosa!

Jesus, is Wonder Boys really seven years old already? Along with Muriel's Wedding, it's on the list of movies I've been meaning to see but never have. For god's sake, Muriel's Wedding came out the year my son was born!

There are a ton of actors from Australia, New Zealand and England lately who affect American accents. Pretty much the entire cast of "Without A Trace," for instance.

Enjoy your break when you get it. Fight Club was a great movie and book. Pitt's best role, I think.

Damn, it's Pretty People Day, isn't it?

HAPPY BREAK!

My old roomie in Toronto killed Fight Club for me. I'd never seen it, but he felt it necessary to share the ending. Since then, I've never bothered to see it. Damned spoiler!
