YOU TUBE really does have everything doesn't it?
I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
A couple of weeks ago, I was showing my son the helicopter attack scene in Apocalypse Now (he'd gotten toy helicopters for Christmas and made some mention about great helicopter scenes in movies.) I asked if he recognized Duvall's character-- my kids loved Kicking and Screaming, in which Duvall pretty much played the same character, but as a suburban soccer coach. Duvall's amazing. He was Boo Radley in the movie of To Kill a Mockingbird, and had a small, but important role as the taxi driver in Bullitt. Also, of course, Tom the Consiglieri in The Godfather, as well as a little-known role in a little-known movie filmed here in Chicago, "A Family Thing," about a white Southern bigot who discovers that his mother was black, and comes to Chicago to connect with his family, who is, of course black. He's an amazing actor. Also roles in Falling Down, Colors and Sam Peckinpah's The Killer Elite.
