Like Napoleon in Exile: Frost/Nixon
Frost/Nixon is another strong 2008 movie that's really worth seeing. It's sure to be interesting to my parents, for instance, to former students and to anyone in between -- doesn't matter whether you were alive during the Nixon presidency or not. It's a fascinating film well done by Ron Howard, with compelling performances by Frank Langella (Nixon) and Michael Sheen (Frost). It's got elements of tragedy, sure, but it's also warm and witty and pretty funny at times. Based on Peter Morgan's 2006 play and, of course, the 1977 Frost/Nixon interviews.
More on other nifty connections in the next post.

Dying to see "Frost/Nixon." Maybe I'll sneak out and hit a late matinee one afternoon this week.
The real Nixon on television never stood a chance against Kennedy. I'll bet this movie has some fun with an over perspiring politician.
I was in boot camp when Nixon told the American people that Haiphong harbor was being mined. Little did he know that Watergate was his Haiphong harbor and he wouldn't be anywhere near as successful as the North Vietnamese in clearing the harbor.
I actually find myself interested in seeing this, although I usually avoid political movies like the plague.
