Joplin

What might Janis Joplin be doing now if she was alive and 67?  Probably something along the lines of Bob Dylan, I suspect, touring and writing. But who knows?  She's been gone for nearly forty years -- hard to fathom.

As is the state of today's world. Can anyone honestly imagine the world forty years from now?

Today's Rune: Flow.

Even more evil! How about Blade Runner, Road Warrior, Idaho Transfer, and Silent Running?

Cheerful bunch -- no Shangri La utopias? Logan's Run, maybe?

Erik, Janis was so great, but we didn't get to enjoy her nearly long enough...

To be honest, I'm afraid to imagine the world 40 yrs from now.

(I have that CD, btw. I've often been told that that pic of Janis reminds people of me. Fortunately I'm not an alcoholic junkie...although chocolate & Coca~Cola probably aren't good alternatives, either...)

I remember going to the Sears on Lawrence and Damen here in Chicago as a kid, and my mother buying that record there. Must have been 1970 or 71. I eventually adopted it, along with my father's copy of Dylan's Highway 61.
