This Never Happened to Pablo Picasso!

Happy 62nd Birthday, David Bowie (b. David Jones)! Here's a link to his official website:

And of course, happy 74th birthday to Elvis the King! Seen here as part of a National Archives exhibit in which Elvis meets Nixon in 1970 . . .

If you just can't get enough of Tricky Dick and the King, here's the link:

And here's more Bowie:

Whether king of rock and roll or one of the first of the neo-con hypocrite generation; Elvis did it all.

Glad Bowie made it this far.

I had never heard Bowie's version of Pablo Picasso before...and I had NO idea he shared a birthday with Elvis. It's funny, I was just telling my bride that you never even think of Elvis and Bowie existing at the same time, but in 1969 a 34 year old Elvis was releasing "Suspicious Minds" and playing Las Vegas, and a 22 year old Bowie was releasing "Space Oddity".

I'm betting there was not a lot of cross over back then in their fan bases.
