A joyous day, the Obama train coming out of Philly's 30th Street Station (pictured above via AFP) and down through Wilmington, Delaware, through Baltimore, Maryland and on to DC. Obama by train, the most civilized form of transportation yet devised by people, compatible with horse and ship, walking and driving, country and city. Wow. So far, so good. All aboard the day train: here we go! Welcome to a new day . . . Exciting to be an American, and that in itself is a near miracle.

Train, Train, take me on out of this town.
Train, train, not made by Lionel, has to come into the country before it can take me anywhere.
I think I will try to stick with USA manufactured goods as a way to give the nod to Obama's attempt to fix what's wrong.
I love trains. When I was in college, I took a trip out to the Bay from Chicago on the train (my folks were living in San Jose at the time). It was marvelous. I want to take that trip with my son some time-- he loves trains too.
History is in the making, I can't wait for Wednesday morning and see Obama making his first ever speech as the first black President of a great nation! Gives me hope in the Middle East
