On the "Edge of Outside"
Next month, Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will begin airing what looks to be an excellent "tribute to filmmakers who have worked on the edges of Hollywood." In addition to a series of commercial-free movies, there will be featured interviews and additional behind the scenes details.
I'll have more about this before it begins on July 5, 2006.

Hey I love watching movies on AMC. I remember the first time I saw SABRINA (with audrey hepburn) was on AMC. It was really late and my boyfriend wasn't going home quite yet so we snuggled and watched the movie. There's such an innocence to AMC ya know?

Believe it or not, I don't have cable! I don't miss it, though; we just rent videos. I've found it to be cheaper in the long run, and all three of my daughters read well above their grade levels, a great benefit! I might rent some on of these, though. John Cassavetes' films sound interesting, as well as The Naked Kiss. Seen it at Thomas Video a few times; just never rented it.
Thanks all for the comments! Sheil, yeah, AMC is sweet. There's also a new RETRO movie channel that's nice. Robin, I am "too addicted" to the HBO series to stop anytime soon ;) But then, I rarely rent or see movies at the theater; plus I use cable for internet access, another addiction Lol! The HBO series are good, aren't they? My husband & I just completed the 4th season of "Six Feet Under" and we really enjoyed the first couple seasons of "Curb Your Enthusiasm." We also tell "the girls" that we're getting cable when they all leave home -- that's when we'll have the time for it! lol
Robin, I love Curb Your Enthusiasm and Six Feet Under, the Sopranos, and used to watch Sex and the City when it ran; Deadwood and the Wire and Rome when possible, Big Love; their movies are often good, too. Sounds like a plan ;)
