There are about 700 Danish troops in Afghanistan, part of the overall NATO deployment; 28 Danes have been killed. To keep morale up, some of those still serving groove to Volbeat, a band that dates back to just before the beginning of the current Afghanistan war. They have taken Denmark (and Europe) by storm: from a country of 5.5 million people, each of Volbeat's three studio albums has already sold over a million copies.
Here, Volbeat's "Sad Man's Tongue" from Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil (2007) -- also available live on their Limited Tour edition version of Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood (2008) -- set to a typically weird scene from Werner Herzog's Even Dwarfs Started Small / Auch Zwerge haben klein angefangen (1970), with Herzog's signature "going in circles" trope. The pace picks up at about the 45 second mark . . .
Today's Rune: Partnership. Happy Hallowe'en!

"Papa said: My boy, take my Johnny Cash vinyls and go
Well I got my pocket full of real tales, and a broken guitar bone.
And the story keep on rollin', out from a sad man's tongue . . ."
Sounds like the Outlaws, Green Grass and High Tides maybe?
Freaky, Eric. I am petrified of dwarfs. Dunno why? Enjoy Trick or Treat!
Hmmmm... at approximately the 2:35 mark of the music video, I believe a dwarf is urinating.
You know, I really liked this. Sounds kind of like a sped up Johnny Cash. I'm going to look up more of their songs.
JR,
Watch out.
The other six will get pissed off.
